PhenoRipper adopts a segmentation free approach that learns the majority of profiling parameters from the data itself, meaning it requires minimal user input, yet profiles microscopy with accuracy comparable to far more complex approaches.

An open-source framework to synthetically generate fluorescent microscopic images of cellular populations. SimuCell allows designers to study how modifying specific aspects (e.g., shape, intensity levels)  of an image affects the performance of their algorithms.
